The NHS England and Five of its trust working under the same umbrella were seeking a digital enhancement in the creation of a Clinician-Facing Clinical Media Capture Solution to allow healthcare professionals to capture, store, and share patient-related media securely. VE3 solution was designed to enhance clinical workflows, improve collaboration, and ensure data security while integrating seamlessly with existing NHS systems.
The solution needed to integrate seamlessly with Cerner Millennium and other NHS-approved Electronic Patient Record (EPR) systems, leveraging VE3’s enterprise platforms to ensure smooth interoperability and uninterrupted clinical workflows.
Clinicians required the ability to securely share patient-related media with colleagues in real time, enabling faster consultations, improved collaboration, and better clinical decision-making.
The platform had to be fully accessible on Trust-issued devices, ensuring no media was stored locally while maintaining consistent performance and compatibility across approved device types.
Full compliance with GDPR, the NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT), and Cyber Essentials Plus was essential to meet stringent NHS data protection and cybersecurity requirements.
A centralised storage solution was required to provide consistent, secure access to clinical media across multiple NHS Trusts, supporting standardisation and governance.
Clinicians needed the ability to capture images, videos, and audio within a secure digital workspace, ensuring all media was created, stored, and managed in a controlled and compliant environment.
